Here come the girls........

Well I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas, I know I did with a big family gathering the weekend before and then my youngest daughter and her family spent Christmas with us. Such a joy to see my three youngest Grandson's faces on Christmas morning- super fun! We're nearly into the new year and I know it is a time when many of us reflect and remember times gone by. On that note and after doing 'me Mam'  I had another go at making some more memory frames. So as I was looking at a theme of people who have enriched my life the obvious choice was my daughters - so here they are - my gorgeous girls  ............

Each one was made with love and has little charms which mean something from their lives, a sewing machine and teacup for Theresa ...

...... a shoe and a cupcake for Ruth.

The hardest part and the longest is to choose the pictures, I wanted to keep to three to show their different ages so far, so many memories came flooding back and I had to be quite strict with myself or they would never have got done! Then came the supplier search to get the charms, texts and bling, actually assembling them was the easiest bit........
These were given as gifts to the girls - now I need to make them again for me to hang them next to me Mam in the hall.......what a lovely trio that will be :-) Happy New Year to all my followers, here's hoping for a good one! x

Heartfelt Creations - Burnished Keys

Well here we are - nearly Christmas! Hope you're all ready. I had a fabulous time last weekend with a family gathering at my house and then from tomorrow I have my youngest daughter and her family coming to stay. So looking forward to it and hope whatever your plans are you enjoy them too.

Here is another card I've made using the last Heartfelt Creations release which is all about keys. Pretty versatile and can be used for new home, valentines etc

The picture isn't doing this any justice I'm afraid - the flowers are all sparkly having had Wink of Stella (clear) brushed on them and the brown pieces having the gold version of Stella before embossing with clear EP. You can just see a bit of glistening on the top right plaque -h ope to get it up to Oyster Stamps after Christmas so if you're in the shop you can see what I mean!

Sending Christmas wishes to all my friends and followers, hope whatever you have planned for Christmas brings you much joy x

Stamps, dies, Wink of Stella and EP are all available from - Oyster Stamps, Rochester, Kent - Telephone 01634 686823 or Website http://www.oysterstamps.co.uk

Heartfelt Creations - Journey of Love Keys

Well I just don't know where the time is flying to - probably the North Pole as I don't seem to have any spare do you? Still struggling with my blog not playing nicely with Facebook but from what I've seen I'm not the only one - please get it sorted Mr Microsoft!

I made this card a few weeks ago for Oysters from the last launch from Heartfelt Creations, lovely sets of stamps but I did find the matching papers a bit dark and depressing - maybe it's all the Christmas decs around me lol ! The stamps are gorgeous though and ideal for planing ahead to Valentine's day.

To make the background I stamped with Versamark and embossed with white EP before colouring with my Distress Inks, highlighting the images with some extra ink as needed. The tag was made the same way but using pinks and greens to colour. The keys were die cut with the matching die template and added with foam pads for a bit of dimension.

So better late than never, lets hope this blog post works now or I'll be going back to pulling my hair out!!
All stamps,  ink and die available from - Oyster Stamps, Rochester, Kent - Telephone 01634 686823 or Website http://www.oysterstamps.co.uk

Eileen's December Workshop

Yay! After weeks of problems with my computer, error messages every time I tried to blog  and impossible to load pictures on FB I finally think it's sorted. The last update from IE really screwed things up so having eliminated viruses and registry issues I have changed my browser and fingers crossed it seems to have worked.

What with this, BT problems dropping my connection all the time (12 times one day!) , decorating the lounge and having new carpets fitted (where does all the dust come from?) I have been pulling my hair out for the last few weeks! Sooo nice to go to Eileen Godwin's workshop yesterday and lose some stress in the day. Love meeting up with old friends and making new, the day just flies........
.....mind you I did struggle with one (the tag) as my inks just kept bleeding so in desperation I stamped all over it and drew wiggly lines to try and cover it up. My deep sighs were audible around the hall - sorry!
Top left in this picture is distress inks and Tim Holtz, top right is Panpastels and Lavinia stamps and bottom is distress inks and Clarity.

Many thanks to Eileen for her inspiration and laughs and to all the lovely ladies there yesterday, you cheered me up no end :-) x

Lavinia Challenge 10 - Anything Goes

Happy 1st of December! The Christmas countdown has really started now......must get some Christmas cards made asap........

The new challenge at Lavinia has started and for this month the theme is Anything Goes so you can really let rip with all those ideas you have bubbling away in your head. Congratulations to last month's winner Julie Rose, really hope Julie enjoys spending her prize of £40 in the Lavinia shop.

My designs for this month include using a Sweet Poppy Stencil designed by Tracey from Lavinia, fabulous for combining different textures on your card by mixing with co-ordinating Lavinia stamps.

So here my Butterfly Tree (stencil) has been magic'ed by the Zen Butterfly and a couple of naughty fairies hitching a ride - but they've done a good job so should be forgiven! The butterfly is stamped and embossed with white EP on acetate then coloured to match the colours on the tree.

My second design was centred around the beautiful verse stamp I used on a simple Panpastel background. I used the Zen Tree, Zen Leaf and cobweb to complete and added jewels per the verse.

There are some fantastic designs from the rest of the team - check them out for more ideas and inspiration - I look forward to seeing your entry this month! http://blog.laviniastamps.com/

All stamps are available from Lavinia Stamps website.
