Having lots of techno problems lately - must be the sun, computer's not used to it! Anyway, here's a card I made for entry into a competition to make Jayne Nestorenko smile - hope it works, it worked for me !
Used a number of her stamps and then used the sky method I did at Barbara Gray's workshop in Cowden this year highlighted with a bit of glitter. Been busy lately with other crafts so not been posting much recently, will try to do better :-)

And here's one for the sunshine!

I made this card for a friend using Jayne Nestorenko stamps and promarkers. It's a nice cheery card to match the sun peeping out today-wouldn't it be nice if the sunshine stayed a while !

First Christmas Card Attempt for 2012

Thought I'd better get started on Christmas! I used a Whimsy stamp, matted and layered and added Memory Box dies of snowflakes. I like the stamp and plan to try another version using an inked background a la Barbara............Will post if it turns out OK. Feel like I need to put the christmassy music on to get in the mood more!

Sarah Kay - Easter Stepper Card

Morning!

This card was made using a variety of stamps - including Sarah Kay, Clarity and Jayne Nestorenko. Painted images with watercolours and used acetate and gold embossing for the butterflies. Made  2, one for Theresa and one for Ruth hope they liked them!x

Gardens coming on..........

Really happy with the garden, this time last year when we moved here there was nothing but lawn and trees. Bit of hard work  and we have flowers, beans, peas, raspberries, strawberries, lettuce, tomatoes and peppers etc coming up. All we need now is some sunshine instead of constant rain, would be nice to be able to sit in the garden rather than just look at it through the window ! Need to look up how to harvest and store my garlic over the next few days before it rots in the ground :-(
Anyone fortunate enough to be thinking about retiring I say go for it, I know I'm lucky but it is even better than I dreamed it would be! Crafting, gardening, cooking, the odd bit of housework....hurrah !

Clarity Card

I made this card using a technique I learned at Cowden with Barbara Gray. The background is done with bubble wrap and versamark ink, brayered with Adirondack ink, sprayed with water then clingfilm scrunched on it and left to dry. I then stamped and embossed the image and sentiment and used some ink and a brush to fill out some areas on the wings. Added some bling after matting up.

Theresa's Birthday Card

I used Clarity Stamps for this one and various glitters in different tones for the main stamp with gilding flakes on acetate behind her. Love the sentiment - maybe one day in this year's summer we'll have some sunshine so I can do it!x

Sarah Kay

This is a card using a Sarah Kay stamp, painted with watercolours and mounted on a mixture of die cut and plain mats.

Gwendoline has arrived!

Sweet peas - Pink ones are Gwendoline (my mum's name), Lilac ones are Twilight and Cream ones are Wedding Belles. Not very good with seeds so when I found the ones called Gwendoline it was with some fear that I planted them! Put them in my cold frame at the end of January, checked every day but nothing then on Mother's Day I opened the cold frame and there they were! Made me smile......Kept my fingers crossed and waited until June before I planted them out - how pleased am I that they have taken so well! Thanks Mum x

Clarity Challenge Card

Oooh! Getting the hang of this blogging I think!

This is a card I did for the May Clarity Challenge, using Clarity Stamps and fibre and film. Never used it before - interesting technique but not sure where I would use it again, who knows.........

Ellie's Birthday Card

So pleased with the way Will's card turned out I made another one for Ellie's birthday in a similar vein, this time using all Jayne Nestorenko stamps from her Patchwork Polly range. Think she's getting a bit old now for this type of card - must find some goth stamps before next year!

Will's Birthday Card

My first upload yeah!

This was a card I made for Will's second birthday using Jayne Nestorenko and StampinBella rubber stamps. Coloured with promarkers, pleased with the way it came out - like the colours tying in with the backing paper. Glazed some elements using versamark ink and embossing powder.
Ellie's cupboard is empty............don't know what I'm doing...........this may take a while!
