Brushos with EP

So many products on the market! Found this one the other week which is called Brusho, which is crystals of water colour which disperse out when you add water. So sorry I cannot find the lady who originally caught my eye on FB using them to give her credit but Eileen Godwin has been playing with them too with stunning results!

Less is more with these things - you can get covered just opening the pot can't you Martine Smith! Here's another where I used less Brusho but then realised I should have stamped with black, hey ho it's a learning curve all the time and great fun practicing!

The stamp is a Penny Black one called 'Dreamy' and I used Versamark and white embossing powder.

Bubble Boy

Lovin' these designs by Mo Manning! Fab for children's cards, this one is called Bubble Boy and is available as a stamp from Penny Black or a digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil -

I am entering this card in Mo's current challenge 'Birthday for a boy'  , honoured to have been chosen as a Top 3 by Mo in the last challenge I don't expect to be lucky again this time - but if you don't have a go you'll never know ! PS 24/7/14 So thrilled - I won Top 3 again in this challenge with this card - WOW !

Busy getting prepped for the Oyster Demo Days next week - which isn't easy in the heat we've been having! Even some of my glue refused to stick it was that hot, still we crafters keep going eh? Thanks for looking and hope to see some of you next week - details of all the demonstrators are on the Oysters web site - see the link below.

Ooops ! I missed it .......

Just got back from a lovely few days in sunny Somerset, beautiful part of the country - such lovely countryside topped off with staying at a lovely hotel - good food and good company, fab.
Back now and trying to catch up - Oysters have sent me a little package and I seem to have missed a deadline for the tag group I'm in - sorry girls - I'm working on it !
Something else I missed was my GDT on Craft Stamper Mags blog ! This was on top of being picked for a readers slot - see previous post here so you can guess how happy I was being picked twice in quick succession by my favourite magazine.

To make these I was sent a set of Visible Image stamps and asked to make 2 related projects. Always great fun to try something different and such a buzz when you see your work pop up on the internet. The full article is here in their Stamping Contrast blog post.

Well back to reality and I need to get some prep done for the Oysters Summer Madness days next week. Four days (Tuesday - Friday) of fun with different demonstrators turning up on the days  with ideas to inspire you in your crafting, Andy Bennet, Karen Clare, Kay Rutter and HoneyDoo Crafts along with Martine, Janet and Tracy from the shop. Why not check out their website - Oyster Stamps - and I hope to see you there if you can make it.

Tom and Tilly

Had a super morning yesterday at Oysters, the lovely Emma Lou from Heartfelt Creations is over doing workshops in the UK. So useful to see different techniques from the people who actually design the product and Emma Lou had us in fits trying to remember the places she's been to see in London, ended up like a game of charades - 'big house in a square..........' Trafalgar Square ? Leicester Square?  'oh yeah Buckingham Palace' ...........priceless good fun.

Of course I had to have a nose in the shop while I was there and was obviously drawn to the new stock of Penny Black stamps. Couple of ladies asked me to have a go at colouring this one called Tom and Tilly, couldn't resist !

Love isn't just for the young is it and this one reminded me of me and my Geoffie lol, so coloured it accordingly with my pens and pencils.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas......again.

Oh no ! I hear you say ! Oh yes, I'm determined to get an early start this year. Most of the new designs aren't out yet so I've used some old but gold ones from Penny Black to get me going.

Super Mo Manning designs, just so cute and great for children/grandchildren cards.

Two Penny Black stamps on this one - Ornamental Noel and Little Elf Finn. Think I'll be using these ones a lot - can see that elf on some gift tags and the Noel would make a CAS card on it's own.

Penny Black stamp - In the Snow. Don't you just love the look of pure joy on that face! I used my Spellbinder Oval Nesties to make the background and added some Dee's Distinctively Stacker Trees and a Memory Box die Precious Snowflakes.

And one last one using Penny Black Winter Fairy stamp and Quietfire Design sentiment stamp. I made the background using a Memory Box stencil Stars Starry Night with paste and glitter - takes a while to dry but does look pretty so worth the wait. Dies as before plus a Poppystamp one called Giovanna Snowflake.

Of course there had to be oodles of fairydust  I mean glitter !

Well that's me started - bet I'm still rushing around in December lol !

Craft Stamper Magazine - I'm in Ready Set Stamp

Serious excitement in Pearce Towers  - I'm in print and  in the Ready Set Stamp article in August's Craft Stamper Magazine page 58- wowser ! Even managed to put my walking stick down to do a little happy dance :-)

Love the magazine and I follow their blog too so when I saw a request for readers entries I thought I'd have a go and was thrilled when I got picked. The theme was 'Words, Words, Words' and you had to use three colours - Mustard, Royal Blue and Turquoise oh and produce a simple card that can be made in 20 minutes! No pressure then lol.

Loved this sentiment from an Inkylicious set 'Dancing in The Rain' which comes with the woman and umbrella and another couple of sentiments  and of course for the background it just had to be 'Water Droplets' by Designs by Ryn.

So my squealing when I saw it in print was heard by the whole village lol ! Why don't you have a go too - great fun and another ambition achieved that I can tick off my list - one happy bunny in Higham !

Lavinia Challenge 7 - Summer Colours

Woo hoo! We're well into summer now -  the sun is shining as I write this, let's hope it still is when this goes live!

Well done to last month's winner of the Lavinia Challenge, hope you enjoy spending your prize of £40 on the Lavinia Website - decisions decisions lol ! So many fab entries last month, loved having a wander around all the lovely designs - big thank yous to everyone who entered and gave so much inspiration to others.

The start of another month means the start of another challenge, this months theme is Summer Colours.

I did this card and realised I could have done it for last months theme with all the gems! Still I think it has lots of bright summer colours on it don't you?  I used the Zen Butterfly and Fairy Dust ... stamps.

Got a bit inky for this panel card but wanted to keep it quite clean and simple. I used one of the stamps from the Dandelion set and the Fairy Dust... stamp.

Went whole hog with the inks for this one and used the Dandelion stamp again along with Nigella Damascena.

Well that's it from me this month, thanks for looking. For more ideas why not take a look at the rest of the teams ideas (blog links on the sidebar) - enjoy the sunshine while we have it and look out for those lovely summer colours!
