Honey Doo - Butterfly Border

Morning all - Well what a wash out for the Bank Holiday, typical weather eh ! I expect a lot of you did some crafting instead ?
Next weekend sees the start of the Autumn shows with the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show at Leigh and Amanda and Kay from Honey Doo Crafts will be busy demonstrating their fab range of stamps, here's a quick one I made using their Butterfly Border with a sentiment from Life Events to finish it off......

I'm afraid my photos never bring out the glitter very well but if you zoom in you can get a glimpse of the pretty butterflies all glammed up with a sprinkle of Glamour Dust.

If you're in the Leigh area next weekend why not pop in and say hi to the ladies, if not their stamps are available on their website - HERE.

Enjoy the rest of the week and thanks for looking x

Howay the lads ! Honey Doo Crafts Christmas Stamps

Lol - yes howay the lads - Honey Doo Crafts are at the Ross Papercraft Show in my home town Sunderland this Sunday.

Got some happy post this week, some lovely Christmas stamp sets so couldn't resist having a play ...
This first one was made using one of the deer from 'Dancer and Prancer' and the sentiment from 'Bold Bauble'. I coloured the background using my Panpastels and added some dies cut using Die-namics Campy Tree Line. Yes I know it says Dancer and Prancer but I really couldn't resist adding a red nose to make him Rudolph !

This is a more fussy design using 'Bold Bauble' and the flowers from 'Falling Flowers'. The red card is stamped randomly using Falling Flowers and the branches are a Martha Stewart punch.

Honey Doo Crafts stamps are available from their website HERE  .

Thanks for looking, hope you're having a fab weekend x

Honey Doo Crafts

Loving these stamps designed by Honey Doo Crafts and thrilled to have been asked to design some cards for them -

The stamps are so versatile with flowers and flourishes you can mix and match as you wish. This first card use Fine Flourishes (to make the stems) , Life Events (such a useful set of sentiments) and Trio of Flowers (different sizes of flowers to build up as you want). Some simple matting and layering with a cute Sue Wilson bow added et voila !

My second card is more traditional -

Made using Corner Flourish and Life Events Honey Doo Crafts stamps with a couple of dies all coloured with my pens. The 3D effect of the flowers is simply done with pen work this time - no cutting out !

Honey Doo Crafts can be bought direct from Honey Doo Crafts web shop.

These cards will be on display at the Terry Ross Papercraft show at Nissan on Sunday 17th August 2014 if you're going so keep an eye out for their stand where you'll find Amanda and her mum Kay busy demonstrating these fab stamps.

Honey Doo Crafts

Had a fabulous time at Eileen Godwin's workshop on Saturday, saw old friends and made new ones - oh and crafted a bit too ! Made a couple of cards, one for me is still a work in progress but I absolutely loved making one which was made up of lots of different levels and so was called a collage card (currently posted as my FB cover photo) .........so much so that when looking at some recent stamp purchases from Honey Doo Crafts I decided to have a play along the same theme, thanks Eileen for the inspiration.

Made using 'Falling Flowers' stamp and butterflies cut from their 'Butterfly Border' stamp. Love the colours on this - my favourite mix Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry.

Made using 'Hearts a Flutter' stamp with flowers cut from the 'Falling Flowers' stamp and the Little B Hearts die set to make the easel frames.

So, a couple of Honey Doos - great stamps to work with and so versatile as you can mix and match different elements if you want to or just use them as is - your choice.

Well blogger seems to be playing me up today - hope this post gets through as I have another couple to do for tomorrow and Wednesday as I'm a guest designer for Whimsy and they have a fabulous blog hop that I'm involved in with some super prizes! Thank you for looking and have a lovely day x

Lavinia Stamps Challenge 8 - Add some Glitter

Wow! We're into August - where is this year going?! Had a fab July though with lots of things happening to tick off my list of things I would love to achieve. If one of the things on your list is to win a challenge why don't you have a go at this month's Lavinia Challenge - Add some Glitter? Dawn Rogers, who entered by email, did last month and look she won £40 worth of vouchers to get some new goodies from the Lavinia Webshop! Congratulations Dawn and I hope you enjoy spending.

Well a few of us have been raving about Brusho paints these last few weeks. How fab are they for making backgrounds to your cards! They've been around for years and over that time I have seen some very talented artists using them with different techniques to fill and colour line drawings, to stamp and then bleach out colour where you don't want it etc etc - gorgeous work and I plan to do a lot more with these little gems.

Here's my version using them for this month's Lavinia Challenge using Lavinia's Poppy Set and Lavender Stamps -

The flowers are edged in glitter just to lift them from the cornfield I've created in the background. Such vibrant colours to remind me of a hot summers day - and we've had a few of those lately !

My second card this month is made using Lavinia Stamps -  Lavender, Zen Flower 3, Creeping Vine and Wildflower. All stamped with WOW glittered embossing powders in various bright colours.

Lots of other inspiration from the rest of the team on their blogs, please take a look and then jump in with your design - you could be this month's lucky winner !

Stamps available from - Lavinia Stamps Webshop.
