Just a quickie .........

Suddenly realised I haven't blogged for a while oops! And why is that Hellen I hear you all asking? It's because I've been very busy making cards for 3 of my design teams.........so you'll be seeing one or two blog posts over the next few days!

Lavinia goes live on the 2nd with a new challenge for the month and there are some special shows for Spectrum Noir on Create and Craft this weekend and the week after there is a new launch from Crafters Companion ..........more details will follow, phew!

Before all that happens though I just wanted to share this card I made as a commission for a friend.....

They asked for a special card for a couple's 65th wedding anniversary, so they wanted it in blue as we believe it is known as the sapphire one to celebrate.

Loved using my dies for this with oodles of glitter and a few gems thrown in too. Hope they liked receiving it as much as I did making it.

Memory Box dies - Tulip Bouquet and butterflies from Kensington Border
Poppystamps die - Diamond Background.

See you soon with the lovely Lavinia!

Fun and Frolics at Eileen's

Fabulous day yesterday at Eileen Godwin's workshop with Martine. The day started well with Martine picking me up and handing me a breakfast treat - Strawberry milkshake! Lots of lovely friends old and new at the workshop and a great day was had by all.

The workshop was based around Brusho's and trying out some Aquawax along the way. Wouldn't say that all of my cards were a success but that's the point of workshops for me -  to try different products and techniques.

Here are my cards -

All made using Brushos, the standing cards I used my favourite Stampinback stamps and the card lying down was made using an Artistic Stamper stamp and Designs by Ryn Water Droplets.

Thank you to everyone for the laughs throughout the day and to Barbara Clegget for the yummy cakes and quiche she made for us and of course to Eileen for her patience and expertise.

Penny Black Stamps - Missing You

Had a fabulous weekend, Saturday with my colouring ladies and Sunday demoing all things distressed lol !

Today I am blogging some cards made with a set of stamps called Missing You from the Penny Black new release coloured with my pens.

You get the three large images plus some mushrooms and a snail along with a couple of sentiments and I added some dies and backing papers to them - because you know what I'm like with my mixing and matching !

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a lovely day whatever you are doing, also a big welcome to my new followers thank you for joining me. Some of you may have noticed my sidebar has changed and I am sadly no longer on the Oysters Design Team but have been offered and accepted a place on two Crafters Companions Teams, their main team plus their Die'sires team ....so watch this space! I will certainly remember the fun and laughter I have had as a member of the fabulous Oysters team (huge thank yous to Tracey and Martine for letting me join you in the first place) and I have been made to feel really welcome already by the lovely CC Design Team members so I'm looking forward to further fun and crafty adventures !

Lavinia Challenge 3 Add Some Gems

March Challenge for Lavinia is up and running! Fabulous entries last month, I know the winner will enjoy picking out some beautiful stamps with their winnings from the website. Remember you can enter by email too so you don't need a blog ..........

My sample for this month started out very differently lol............. with the theme Add some Gems I immediately had Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds running through my head and intended to make a more marmalade sky and add some tangerine trees with even some cellophane flowers in yellow and green ! But what happened was I downloaded the digi stamp Zen Bryony and when I finished colouring her in with my pens I just thought I really don't want to add much else, the beautiful image to me was enough so just a few cream flowers and a butterfly to finish her off eh voila.

The team have all come up with some fabulous interpretations of their own so why not take a look around their blogs before you jump in and have a go yourself ? And I'm really sorry if I've put that song in your head now -----tee hee ---- happy humming !
