Mo's Clubhouse - Fairy Bobbin

Well here I go, off on the start of a new adventure along with some fabulous new friends on Mo Manning’s Clubhouse DT. Really thrilled to have been asked to join the team – they’ve been so helpful and friendly. I do hope you’ll take a peek at their blogs (listed on the right) to see some fabulous colouring inspiration! It’s an international team with colourists from the UK, USA, Russia, Norway, Germany and Italy – so many different ideas from all of them so take a dip into colour and enjoy!

This is my first card for the Clubhouse and it’s a special one - made for my eldest daughter for her birthday. She loves to sew and Mo’s image Baby Fairy Bobbin seemed right up her street – I even managed to make the sentiment look like a tape measure to match the theme!

The sentiment 'May your bobbin...........' comes with this image and the other one ' When life throws you .....' comes with Fairy Needle. I coloured up both to use but the layout just didn't work for me so that one will be used another day!

The image is coloured with my Copic pens and Polychromos pencils with some Stardust Stickles on the wings after colouring.

Thank you for looking, hope you'll take a peek next Thursday when the new Challenge will be going live and I'll be showing my card sample for it, along with my team mates, to give you some ideas.

Here’s some links for you, happy clicking !  -

Crafter's Companion Issue 7

Oooh! Guess who made one of the projects on the front cover of the new Crafter's Companion Inspiration Magazine?  WOW - it's me !

Having left the DT due to increased family commitments I wasn't sure if they'd still be using the project they asked me to do for the mag. So to make it to the front cover as well was a real surprise! Thanks CC !

The brief was to make a project for a 2 page spread in the magazine using elements from the free papercraft CD (the freebies are amazing - a die, set of stamps, an embossing folder, 2 CDs and a template - well worth the money). So here it is ...........

Not a stamp, nor any colouring in sight - it's not my usual style but I enjoyed having a go at something different. So lovely to see it in print, hope if you get the magazine you'll have a go!

Special Birthday for a Special Girl .........

How can I possibly have a granddaughter having an 18th birthday! Stop it all of you my grandchildren ........this growing up so fast is hard for me!

So I had to make a special card for her and having been inspired by some OTT fantasy photos of her done by a make up artist recently I saw this Aurora Wings digi stamp and gave it a go.....

Here's a close up of the face ..........struggled a bit as my pens were running low (reinforcements on their way!). Pearls, diamonds and glitter added to the image for effect.

Present all wrapped and tag attached.

The silver butterflies were a hint of what the box contained and NOT put on to cover up my mistakes lol !

Happy birthday my gorgeous girl!

Lavinia Challenge June - Any colours you like!

And another month opens for the Lavinia Challenge with the theme this month as Any Colour You Like!

With everything going on at Pearce Towers these last few weeks the words Thinking of You were said a few times. I wanted to use a bright and cheerful background - so out came the Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed Distress Inks. A lot of water and watercolour card and an easy background created! Once dry I stamped Zen Leaf and Zen Leaf 2 in red ink and then overstamped Floral Spray and Pods with White Embossing Powder.

You don't need a blog to enter, just send an email and picture in via the website and you could win the prize of £40 to spend on lovely Lavinia stamps and goodies. Click here to go there .

Check out my teamies fabulous designs - so bright and colourful for this gorgeous summer weather.

Thank you for looking and I hope to see you having a go - go on, you know you want to!
