Mo's Clubhouse - Flower Jar

Hi - it's Thursday so it must be my turn at Mo's Clubhouse! I thought I'd try something a little different using Mo's image Flower Jar.

A gorgeous bunch of poppies and daisies in a jar, I simply printed two images side by side and trimmed my card at the top of the jars to create a flower border. I don't know about you but if I'm buying something I like to see if I can use it in other ways and this image is certainly versatile for this!

I kept the card quite plain and added a simple die cut sentiment as the lovely flowers speak for themselves don't you think ? One of those cards that can be used for different occasions.

Don't forget that the team at the Clubhouse Blog post a daily card to show you how much fun you can have colouring up Mo's images.

Thank you for looking, hope you'll take a peek next Thursday when the new Challenge will be going live and I'll be showing my card sample for it, along with my team mates, to give you some ideas.

Stampscapes - July 2015

Had a little fun yesterday playing with Stampscapes stamps - lol where have they been all my life! Yes I know they've been around for just takes me a while to catch up!

Had a play on glossy cardstock with a mix of dye inks and added a Memory Box die called Woodland Oval which finished them off nicely I thought. Yep, I'm liking using these and there are loads of tutorial videos on YouTube for more inspiration - just type in Stampscapes and there are literally loads on there. Showed them to a few friends and they had a go too - think that die will be a popular one!

Here's a canvas I made based on an article in Craft Stamper Magazine November 2014 by Anna- Karin Evaldsson, using paste and crackle mediums.  Didn't have exactly the same stamps but followed the procedure in the magazine and quite pleased how it came out - think I'll be making some more like this. Coloured with Distress Paints, touches of white pen and some frosty glitter highlights.

Fab fun day just playing and chilling out - must do it again soon!

Mo's Clubhouse - Fairy Needle

Woohoo! Thursday's my card for today using Fairy Needle and the quilt quote which comes with the image.

I coloured this image up using my copics and made the background with a Crealies Modern Patchwork Die - the name seemed to match the quote lol ! So easy to make stunning backgrounds to mount Mo's images on using these dies, which I got from Oyster Stamps (Rochester UK). Oyster's also sell Mo's images in stamp format from Penny Black, this image being in a set called 'Stitches'. So if you prefer to use stamps rather than digis you can get this one in either format!

And here is me hard at work last weekend demoing my colouring with a few of Mo's images amongst my samples! Fabulous day, I will be demoing again in August at Whitstable Craft Shop on the 22nd. Would be lovely to see you if you're in the area!

Mo Manning's Birthday Treats

Yay! Happy Birthday Mo Manning!

So - we've been secretly planning a birthday surprise for Mo, with many of us on her teams making her a special birthday card.

I've used 'Birthday Fairy Lee' to make a card for Mo, coloured with Copics and mounted onto a turquoise Brusho background on watercolour card. I added a birthday candle, using a die, to the cake to make it extra special.

Mo's Clubhouse - Sunshine

This is a sweet little image by Mo Manning called You Are My Sunshine which I coloured  in cool pinks and lilacs - her hat and wellies are glossy (as all good wellies should be!). Thought I'd add some gorgeous little umbrellas I cut using one of my MB dies and a little sprinkle of rain using a stencil.

Such lovely images that Mo designs, I'm in heaven being on her team.  Watch out for my next one next Thursday - just don't know what to pick !!

Thank you for looking - don't forget to take a peek at my team mates inspiration on their blogs or on Mo's Facebook page - Bella and Bronte's Clubhouse.

Heartfelt Fuschia Bouquet - Colours of 'Evelyn'

Well I'm still in catch up mode and here's another colouring sample ready for Oyster's Open Day on the 19th made using Heartfelt Creations Fuschia Bouquet.

I've always loved Fuschias, me Mam had some that were grown from cuttings off a plant her Mam had and whenever we moved house she took cuttings with us. In my garden I now have my own Fuschia grown from one of Mam's which I call 'Evelyn's Fuschia' after my Grandmother because I never knew it's proper name.

I had wanted to colour this stamp with pinks and lilacs but my heart kept going back to Evelyn's colours so here it is, vibrant and deep reds and purples. It's the anniversary of my Mam's death this week so this one's for her.

BV000,BV02 and BV13; R24,R46 and R59; YG03,G94 and G99.

Penny Black sentiment die 'Splendid Wishes' and edges shaped with 'Stitched Edges'.

Deze kaarten brengen een echt zomers gevoel in de brievenbus !

No I haven't gone crazy lol! This is the headline on my latest publication in a Dutch magazine - which according to Google says ' These cards bring a real summer feeling in the mailbox'. So strange to see my work in another language!

This was one of my last projects for Crafters Companion, the brief was to use some Sheena Douglass stamps to make summer themed cards.

This one was made with her 'Poppies' stamp coloured with Spectrum Noir pens on a Distress Ink Background.
This one was made using her 'Poppies' and 'Silhouette Grass' with Aquatints and Aqua pens.
This one was made using her 'Kite' stamp coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and the background made with Distress Inks.

And here they are in print !

So lovely of Louisa from Crafter's Companion to remember to send me a copy. Also so lucky to have had some super experiences with my crafting ..... another item for my crafting memories box.

Thank you for looking x

Mo's Clubhouse - Neighbours

Love this design by Mo, as soon as I saw it I thought of those lovely higgledy piggledy coloured houses by the seaside, down in the west country that I remember from our summer holidays when the girls were little !

Such happy memories and a joy to colour using my copics, with a few Memory Box die cuts added for dimension.

Penny Black - Tiger Lily

Finally got round to using my Crealies dies - I got the other month. Where does the time go to at the moment? Although I have to say I don't do as much crafting in the summer heat, I just get too hot!

Made using Penny Black Stamp Tiger Lily and a sentiment from their Sunny Hello set, coloured with my Copics and mounted onto a base card made using Crealies Modern Patchworks Dies No1.

This card is one of the samples I will be taking to the Open Day at Oyster Stamps on 19th July where I will be demonstrating colouring with alcohol pens and apparently some stick things and ink pads! If you're in the area (Rochester Kent UK) why not pop in and say hello - lots of other demonstrations will be going on so there'll be plenty to see and to do with some make and takes going on as well. Should be a fun day!

R81, RV34, R56 and R89; G40, G43 and G46.

I printed the image twice and decoupaged the sunglasses (with a hint of glossy accent on the lenses), the ice cream cone and the dress.

Here's a close up of Lacie with the Copic colours I've used.........

Lavinia Stamps - July Challenge is Flowers

Good Morning! Welcome to the new Lavinia Challenge which is Flowers..........

Huge thanks to everyone who entered last month - so much super inspiration using Lavinia's lovely designs. With a monthly prize of £40 to spend on the website, you need to be in it to win it and that's easy to do either by blog or by email check out the website for the contact details.

This clean and simple design is made using some digital stamps from the site - Orchid and Angelic Words - so easy to download and size to what you want. Coloured with my Copic pens I printed a few images so I could decoupage some of the petals and as some of them look like little hearts I took the word 'Love' from the Angelic Words as it seemed to suit the theme, what do you think?

So I hope you'll take a look around the rest of the teams blogs (listed on the right) for some ideas and have a go - you never know you could be the lucky person drawn at the end of the month!

Thanks for looking.
