Oyster Paper Crafts Open Day

Had so much fun at Oyster's last Sunday, always lovely to meet old friends and make new ones. Thank you for coming if you were there, and thank you for the lovely comments I got  about my card samples. I was lucky enough to be asked to demo some Hobbyart stamps and the Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Pens. Had such a good time making the samples - think I got carried away! Here are some photos of them .... summer memories first

Mo Manning Blog Hop - August 2016

Hi - time for Mo's August Blog Hop and the theme for the team was 'Winter'.

So, here's the list of the Dream Team hoppers this month .....

  GrethaJulieGaynorDebby, Daria, OlesyaLou

Erin, me,  Anneke and Kaly.

All you have to do is leave a comment on each blog and two lucky people will receive a voucher to spend in Mo's store to get a gorgeous image.

You'll see we have a new member of the team - the very talented Olesya has joined us!

The lovely image is called 'Chill' from Mo's Digital Shop - see even her breath is chilled!

I tried really hard to make this a winter card without referring to Christmas which is why I went so blue - still covered in glitter lol with a die of snowflakes and an embossing folder of garlands - think I just about did it! Image is coloured with Copics and the background is blended Memento 'Paris Dusk' ink fading from dark to lighter top to bottom.

Hope you join in the hop and check out the other Dream Team designs - there's still time to enter the challenge at DP2 Challenge blog (Anything Goes with a Mo Image) if you want to have a go and try to win a prize there as well. It gets harder and harder each month to pick the top 3 - you're all so talented!

Mo Manning August Challenge

Hi, welcome to my blog. Can you believe it's August already! Where is the time going?

It's the start of another challenge with Mo, as always the theme is Anything Goes (with a Mo image) and I'm staying with clean and simple this month for my version of 'Pignon'..........

I wanted the cute image to say it all so I kept the background to black and white, coloured the main image with my Copics and added some gloss to the toadstool tops and some glitter to the wings and to the row of toadstools at the front.

This image makes me chuckle as I think the fairy is looking for frogs under the toadstools, we've had a few in the garden this year and even some enormous toads! I so don't like them and have been chased up the patio more than once this year....'Stay in the pond !' I tell 'em, but do they listen? Noooo! We've had a few hot days here in the UK, I am so hoping that we'll have a few more, already though it's starting to look like the tail end of summer. I do love the autumn, the colours and smells tell of things to come but just a little bit more sunshine would be nice.

So, hope you're having a lovely summer wherever you are. Why don't you make a cuppa and pop over to the Challenge Blog and have a go this month at the challenge - maybe you'll be the lucky winner and have a little spending spree in Mo's shop, or be picked by the Dream Team as one of their top three? Either way it's fun to join in and there is always some super inspiration from everyone.

See you soon x

Workshop 7th August 2016

Workshop to make either the card or bag shown here.

Busy prepping for my and Martine's workshop this coming Sunday. I'm going to be mainly using this lovely Hobbyart set called Nature Trail, with over 20 stamps in the set there's loads of variety for making scenes to decorate cards.

Those of you coming on the day just bring your usual craft bag to include scissors, knife, DST, foam pads and if you have one a preferred blending tool. Everything will be there but if you have them it helps cut down waiting time.

We'll be making either the card or gift bag (your choice) in the picture above.

I don't know yet what project Martine has for you but I know it'll be gorgeous as usual !

I've been playing with this set so here's a little collage showing some other samples I've made - I'll bring them on the day so you can get some other ideas to play with at home if you've got this set.

Looking forward to Sunday -  see you there if you're coming - I've heard there are a couple of places left if you want to join in just ring Martine on 01634 686823.
